
“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” posted the fourth largest August opening ever taking in an estimated $56.2 million this weekend to make it number one at the box office. Coming in with a strong $20.1 million opening for the number 2 spot, Julie & Julia. Still at number 3 Disney's G Force brought in another $9.8 million to make its total so far $86.1 million. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince slid to number 4 spot with another 8.9 million coming in. Its 26 day total $273.8 miilion. And fall ing face first from the number one spot to number 5 Adam Sandler's Funny People with $7.9 million, its 10 day total $40.4 million. And suspense thriller A Perfect Getaway opened at number 7 with 5.8 million.
